To comply with Irish law, all arriving passengers must complete a Public Health Passenger Locator Form before they arrive in Ireland. The Electronic COVID-19 Passenger Locator Form is available online and you must complete this form in advance of arriving into the State. I will be transited at Dublin Airport at Terminal 1 and have an onward connecting flight at Terminal 1 too. Also, I don't need to recheck my baggage during the time I get here. In this case, do I need to ask for a short-stay visa or a transit visa?
how’s going with your trip? Do you need to get out and go through the security check again for you onward connection?
I'd love to know too. This airport is the most unclear and ambiguous information mislead of all time. Probably drinking too much alcohol to share clear instructions for transit passengers.

@@alejandrapena7530 I went out and did the security check again. But no need for the transit visa as I had a UK visa.
My friends wife’s grandfather used to work in the old terminal back in 1945. Absolute beauty of a building, the art deco is so nostalgic too!
I have been in this Airport.many times .. and you would not see security as often...as we should Its only time...
the whole Covid was some load bollox
What they fail to mention is this works only if you arrive before 13:00, after that , you have to get out of the airport then enter again 😉 through all controls, which is ridiculous 🙄

When I first experienced these gates, I just assumed they were temporary facilities. However it seems now that AerLingus always shuttles their passengers to these sheds at the back of the airport. The AerLingus service is abyssmal for the ticket price. At least with budget airlines there is a price:service justification.
I assume this is for EU Passport holders only and starting in Terminal 1. It would be helpful to have a video for Non-EU passengers connecting flights from Terminal 2 to 1 and vice versa. In addition, letting us know where to go through security would be helpful.

Do I need transit visa if I have connection flights in Dublin Airport to the US flying from London to the US.. not European citizens
You’ve probably been and gone by now but in case this is any help, I think the answer is no. When I did this connection we didn’t go through any kind of Irish border check, only US preclearance.
@@huwharrhy6846 Hi! Can I please ask you more about your connection? I am arriving to terminal 2 at 2:50pm and depart from terminal 2 at 4:20 pm. Will I pass on my way Irish border immigration control? I know that between 4 am and 4 pm there is transit available, but these 20 minutes disturb me, and no one can properly answer me.
@@aminaisubilova4907 Hi, I was flying from the UK to the USA, both flights in T2 and the experience was really easy. When I got to the flight connections area, my boarding pass was scanned, then I went downstairs where I got asked where I was going. If you are connecting to the UK/Ireland you get your passport checked by the Irish border guards, otherwise you skip that step. After that you’re dumped out by the gates, and if you’re going to the US the preclearance facility is pretty much straight in front of you. It is very straightforward and unless your flight is late you will easily get to and clear the flight connections area before it closes.

So I will not need to have Irish visa to pass flight connection zone.

Aer Lingus in English is "Air Fleet" and the building is designed as the top of a ship, with the control tower as the bridge.
